Charter
Objectives

The Preventive Maintenance Coordinator's Group (PMCG) is being developed to provide an open forum for conversation and exchange of information between (typically) Preventive Maintenance Coordinators. The primary focus of this group is to work together to develop state-of-the-art preventive maintenance programs for all types of organizations, nuclear and non-nuclear alike.

Raising and Prioritization of Issues

An initial list of issues raised by group members is contained in Attachment 3.

Issues will be added to the PMCG focus list based on input from any member. Focus issues can either be pursued by the group at large or by individual organizations with that issue area in common. This will allow those issues with large interest to be pursued by the group at large and will also allow small groups of organizations to pursue their specific issues with other organizations with a common interest. Resolution to all issues will be shared with the group at large.

Core member Richard McLaurine (Energy Northwest) has worked with One World Telecommunications (OWT) to develop our web site. The need for expenditure of funds in the development of PMCG tools will be agreed with and shared by member organizations. A message board will allow chat messages between members. It will be assumed that if you are a member, your station is willing to share information regarding preventive maintenance as it relates to their station.

Exchange of Information Between Members

PMCG members may practice any method of information exchange. The two primary methods planned are periodic meetings by participating members and more frequent information exchange via e-mail and phone. Members are requested to keep core team members appraised of issues being worked and resolutions when reached so that this information can be distributed to other members. The web-site will streamline this communication.

The first focus of this group will be to show value thorough identification and prioritization of issues, communicating with members and exchange of information through phone and e-mail. A formal workshop will then be proposed to the membership to improve the effectiveness of the group through a face-to-face meeting.

Resourcing and Funding

The cost of resourcing this group (individual's time to exchange information) will be born by the member organizations. The level of effort will be as desired by the member organizations.

The cost of supporting travel to workshops when scheduled will also be born by the member organizations.

The cost of facilitates for workshops will be shared equally among participating members. Core team members will coordinate with members the preparation and agreement of logistics and agenda for agreed workshops.
